Greetings from the Pacific!
Hi! My name is Bill Stewart. After many years diving in Florida and a few places around the Carribbean, my Pacific Dive Adventures started in 2007. Let me tell you a little about what I plan to cover on these pages.
I started posting on the internet back in 2007 when I was researching a trip to the Philippines. I would like to take this chance to publicly thank the members of Philippine Paradise Divers at www.scubaboard.com who have been so helpful to me in my travels there over the last couple of years. They have been a tremendous help not only to me but to literally 100’s of other people over the years with an interest in diving in the Philippines. I will be re-posting my trip reports here in an effort to make more people aware of the outstanding diving that is to be found in the Philippines.
I’ve been fortunate the last few years to have dived in Japan, Okinawa, the Philippines, and Guam. In the future I hope to start including more of Micronesia as well.
Stay tuned for future trip reports on places, like Chuuk (Truk Lagoon), Palau, Yap, Pohnpei, Saipan, Bikini, and further reports on diving in Guam.
Part of the journey for me is the continued training, that I’ve decided that it’s finally time to do. I’m planning to do some tech diving course along with full cave in preparation for Bikini Atoll and the nuclear fleet which I hope will be re-opened to divers at some point as it is high on my list. (at last report they will not be re-opening in 2010) I’ll be writing about this as well.
Lastly I will be writing about underwater photography. A subject I still have a lot to learn about. All though I have a pretty extensive background in photography, taking photos underwater is a whole new ballgame! I hope to share some of the things that I learn as I go.
I look forward to sharing the adventure with you!
